Overview and Scrutiny Committee, 2024

The Cabinet forward plan is a list of the council’s key decisions that will be made over the next one to four months. These decisions will be made by either the Cabinet collectively, individual Cabinet Members, or officers who have been delegated authority by the Cabinet.

The Cabinet forward plan is normally published on the first working day of the month.

The plan includes a short description of the decision to be made; who will make it; when the decision will be taken; details of the planned consultation with local people and other stakeholders; and contact details for further information (including reports and background papers).

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee work plan includes items to be considered at meetings of the Overview and Scrutiny. The work of this Committee includes pre-decisions scrutiny of selected Cabinet decisions, as well as scrutiny of other issues that affect the district which have been prioritised by members.

The Audit and Governance Committee work plan lists the business for meetings of this Committee, which is responsible for monitoring the adequacy and effectiveness of the Council’s governance arrangements.
