Members Allowances Scheme 2027/28
For Council to consider the deliberations of
the Independent Remuneration Panel (IRP) in reviewing the
Members’ Allowances Scheme. Elections to a shadow successor
authority are scheduled for May 2027, ahead of vesting day on 1
April 2028, when Cotswold District Council will cease and the
successor authority will assume service delivery. Notwithstanding
local government reorganisation, the Council must adopt a
replacement scheme before 1 April 2027, with a full review required
in autumn 2026 having regard to the IRP’s
recommendations.
