Neighbourhood Planning: Representation to the Chipping Campden Regulation 14 Draft Consultation pdf icon PDF 203 KB

Purpose

To ensure the Council takes the opportunity to influence the content of the Chipping Campden Neighbourhood Plan.

 

Recommendation

That the Cabinet Member for Planning and Regulatory Services:

1.    Considers the draft representation presented at Annex B, and subject to any amendments, agrees this for submission to Chipping Campden Town Council.

The purpose of the item was to considers the draft representation presented at Annex B, and subject to any amendments.

 

The Community Partnerships Officer introduced the report and made the following points:

 

·         The item for consideration was the first formal consultation where the proposer had engaged with local people, land owners and statutory authorities. This was the Council’s opportunity to make any comments which would strengthen the proposals.

·         The Council was overall very supportive of the policy areas identified, but provided a number of technical comments contained within Annex B, which they felt would enhance these.

 

Decision

 

The Cabinet Member considered the report, the recommendations of the officer and AGREED the submission to Chipping Campden Town Council

 

Reason for Decision of the Cabinet Member for Planning and Regulatory Services

 

The Cabinet Member stated that, having read the reports and the comments within Annex B, they wished to support the vision of the Chipping Campden Plan, and to strengthen the policies by noting points that may not meet the basic conditions.

Neighbourhood Planning: Regulation 18 Decision on the Stow-On-The-Wold And The Swells Neighbourhood Development Plan pdf icon PDF 73 KB

Purpose

To consider whether the Stow-on-the-Wold and the Swells Neighbourhood Development Plan, as modified, meets the Basic Conditions required by the Localism Act, and therefore should proceed to referendum.

 

Recommendation

That the Cabinet Member for Planning and Regulatory Services:

1.    Considers the recommendations of the examiner, and the proposed modifications, and agrees that the Plan meets the Basic Conditions.

The purpose of the item was to consider whether the Stow-on-the-Wold and the Swells Neighbourhood Development Plan, as modified, meets the Basic Conditions required by the Localism Act, and therefore should proceed to referendum.

 

The Community Partnerships Officer stated that a letter from a solicitor acting on behalf of the land interests in Stow-on-the-Wold had been received, which raised concerns about the examiner’s recommendations. The Community Partnerships Officer advised that the decision be deferred in order to consider the information.

 

 

Decision

 

The Cabinet Member resolved to defer the item.

 

Reason for Decision of the Cabinet Member for Planning and Regulatory Services

The Cabinet Member considered it regrettable that the information in the Solicitor’s letter had been submitted late, but that the Council would need to consider the information, and that therefore she felt it appropriate to defer the item.
