Notification of Decision of the Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Finance

1.         Grant Request From Cirencester Housing for Young People

 

The meeting started at 15:18 due to technical difficulties in getting all participants into the meeting.

 

It was noted that no comments had been received on the report, and no members of the public had asked to attend.

 

The Cabinet Member noted the report that had been received in advance and was satisfied with the contents. 

 

It was also noted that this was a decision which would help young people in the community. 

 

The Cabinet Member noted that the report should read Querns Lane rather than Querns Road. The officer noted the correction for the report.

 

 

Decision

 

The Cabinet Member considered the recommendations of the Officer and resolved to accept the recommendation to approve the grant of £3,360.

 

 

Reason for Decision of the Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Finance

 

The Cabinet Member agreed to the recommendations to ensure that the two rooms at Querns Lane can continue to house young people in need of housing given the forthcoming changes to regulations. It was also noted that the charity does valuable work in the community which justified the decision.
