1.       Election and Electoral Registration Printing Procurement  

 

This report enables the Leader of the Council to consider and approve the contract for the provision of printing services for elections and electoral registration as set out in the tender acceptance form.

 

Decision:

 

The Leader of the Council:

 

Agreed to approve the contract for provision of printing services for elections and electoral registration as set out in the tender acceptance form.

 

Reason for Decision of the Leader of the Council:

 

The Leader of the Council noted that the six authorities within Gloucestershire were working together to procure election and electoral registration printing. The contract covers all aspects of elections and registration including ballot papers, postal packs and registration letters. Cotswold District Council is managing the tender and contract process on behalf of the six authorities. The tender process is now complete and the final tender acceptance completed.

 

The Leader of the Council further noted that agreement had been reached with the five other authorities within Gloucestershire. With the Leader of the Council’s approval at this meeting, universal agreement was now confirmed.

 

The Leader noted that the procurement of the printing contract would deliver cost savings to all six authorities within Gloucestershire.
