Street Nameplates - Settlement Name Minutes: 1. Street Nameplates – Settlement Names
To approve the settlement name to be included on replacement street nameplates at various locations across the district.
Decision:
RESOLVED that the settlement name to be included on each of the street nameplates to be replaced, as set out in Annex A, (excluding Tudor Road, Saxon Road, Blue Quarry Road, Cirencester), be approved.
Reason for Decision of the Leader of the Council
As part of the Civic Pride initiative, street name plates would be replaced including the settlement name, the Council’s crest/logo. The Leader of the Council considered that the place names listed at Annex A represented the settlements in the District and should be included on the street nameplates. Tudor Road, Saxon Road and Blue Quarry Road, Cirencester, should be removed from the current list, to be replaced at a future date.
