Minutes:

The Applicant, Mrs. Hope, and her husband, were present for this item.

The Sub-Committee was requested to determine an application to transfer a Private Hire Vehicle Licence to a vehicle that was over six years old.

Members and Officers introduced themselves at the start of the meeting.

The Licensing Officer introduced the Report and explained that the Applicant had held a Private Hire Vehicle Licence from the Council since 2014, during which time no complaints had been received about her.  The vehicle to which the Applicant was seeking to transfer a licence was 6 years and 10 months old, with a recorded mileage of 35,748 miles at the vehicle’s last MOT test in April 2021, and so, due to age, fell outside of the Council’s Policy requirements for vehicles being no more than five years old.

The Applicant was invited to address the Sub-Committee and explained that her current Licence ran until 21 January 2022 and that the vehicle she wished to licence had previously been owned by a disabled owner and had a full service history.

The Sub-Committee then retired to consider its decision.

RESOLVED that the Sub-Committee Grant agree to the transfer of the Private Hire Vehicle Licence.

Record of Voting - for 5, against 0, abstentions 0, absent 0.
