Purpose:
The Statement of Accounts for 2025/26 shows the financial position of the Council as of 31 March 2026 as well as the performance during the year. Under the Council’s Constitution, the Audit and Governance Committee is charged with the responsibility of the approval of the accounts. This report presents to the Committee for consideration the draft Statement of Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2026.
Recommendations:
That the Audit and Governance resolves to note:
1. The draft unaudited Statement of Accounts 2025/26 (as attached at Annex A)
2. Key highlights from the Statement of Accounts 2025/26 as set out within this report.
