Additional documents:

Decision:

Jon Dearing presented a brief overview of the report and explained that the funding pot was a result of the tourism levy in Bourton-on-the-Water, introduced in March 2021, which added a 50 pence charge to every parking session purchased during the year. The resulting funding was apportioned to fund schemes that help the village manage the impact of the high volumes of visitors it receives. The majority of funding decisions were made in November 2024, and this report recommended using some of the £12,000 funding remaining in the current financial year.

Funding Requests:

1.    Replacement of Railings on George Moore Bridge:

Estimated Cost: £2,280

The parish council received a quote for the replacement of railings on George Moore Bridge.

2.    First Responder Kit for Bourton-on-the-Water:

Estimated Cost: £3,000

The ambulance service trained a local person to be the first responder. However, the kit required for this role was not provided by the ambulance service or the NHS, resulting in an additional cost.

Total Estimated Cost: £5,280
