Purpose:
To consider a recommendation from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund Assessment Panel.
Decision:
To approve the recommendation of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund Assessment Panel and award funding to a project within the District (see annex)
Reasons for the decision:
To enable the Council to make use of the UK Shared Prosperity Funding allocated to it by Government and to approve projects which will help the Council to deliver the outputs and outcomes set out in its UKSPF Local Investment Plan.
Alternative options considered:
Not to approve the panel’s recommendations. There was felt to be no reason not to do so and doing so would have risked not spending the allocation available and not delivering the outputs and outcomes expected of the Council.
