Purpose:
The purpose of the item was to consider applications from the Rural England Prosperity Fund Community Infrastructure Grant Assessment Panel.
Decision:
To approve the recommendations of the Rural England Prosperity Fund Community Infrastructure Grant Assessment Panel and award funding to a number of village halls in the district. (See Annex A)
Reasons for the decision:
To enable the Council to make use of the Rural England Prosperity Funding allocated to it by Government and to approve applications by village halls in the District which will help the Council to deliver the outputs and outcomes set out in the REPF Local Investment Plan addendum.
Alternative options considered:
Not to approve the panel’s recommendations. To do so may risk failing to spend the allocation available and not delivering the outputs and outcomes expected of the Council.
